    Hi Bill –

    I’ve tried a couple options and one commercial version was very problematic. I am now trying this one out: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wsi/

    There’s one option in that plugin where the creator want user to change the Header.PHP file in the Child Theme. The change is outlined as:

    You can display the WSI when your website is completely loaded without any modification. If you want to display the WSI before the page, you need to enable the “First load mode” option and add the code :

    <?php do_action(‘wsi_first_load_mode’); ?>

    after the <body> tag of your theme (Forward_Child v).

    ? – When I add that to the Header file in the child theme, the opening page loads very slowly if at all.

    Is there a way to make this call without impacting the template?

    Thanks,
    Peter

    Thanks Bill –

    I took a good look at them and it’ll be about $250 year to use their product. What’s your thoughts about this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-splash-page/

    Ideally, we’d like to have a button on the splash screen that would let uses select to be redirected to a our donation form.

    Thanks for the updated information Bill! I ran and restore of the files and I’ll try the update again in the near future. That older menu system bit us prior and I’d like to go with a more tried and true version. Best, PR

    I backed out the upgrade via a backup that ran 10 hours ago. I just updated Files and not the DB. Let me know if there is way to work around this problem? Thanks, PR

    Thanks Bill –

    We are moving to the Pro version of that calendar and I wonder if you’ve ever played around with Calendar customization as described in this link: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

    I wonder if there’s a way to enhance the look and feel following that instruction set.

    Thanks Bill – I did make a couple changes following my post in this forum. An outstanding item for me is how the Feature Images vary in size and how the text rolls around under the image. Is there a way to set the Feature Images to a set size and keep the text justified to the center column?

    Hi Bill –

    That has in the ballpark, but it pushed down the two other buttons. The new button is bit higher in the page. It’s also cool to tag that phone number on the new button! If we can align all three of those, it would be a sealed deal!

    Yesterday I updated our plugin and an existing is not working.

    http://associatedministries.org/donate/

    – select the donate button. That button should resolve to https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/WebLink.aspx?name=assocmin&id=7

    I have validated everything looks good in the configuration and wonder what is going on with this button?

    Thanks, Peter

    When I copy the link in your button, I find that it is encoded: https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx?name%3Dassocmin%26id%3D7 rather than https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx?name=assocmin&id=7. Check the URL you entered for the button to insure it is not in the encoded.

    Thanks Bill! – I picked up the premium version of the Yoast plugin. It looks like a powerful toolset to leverage.

    With respect to breadcrumbs… I was following this KB article: http://kb.yoast.com/article/245-implement-wordpress-seo-breadcrumbs

    I’ll try using this verbatim, let me know if there’s anything special I should do. I’m trying to get the breadcrumbs on the bottom of pages.

    Good Day Bill –

    Here’s what we are currently running in the Custom CSS area:

    @media only screen and (min-width: 768px) {

    #logo {
    float: left;
    }

    #extra-content {
    margin-top: 40px;
    }

    }

    #logo {
    text-align: center;
    }

    #extra-content {
    text-align: center;
    }

    #extra-content a {
    display: inline-block;
    margin-left: 10px;
    margin-right: 10px;
    }

    #extra-content span.maxbutton-16-center {
    margin-bottom: 10px;
    }

    #header {
    background-image: url(http://585.ce4.myftpupload.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Upper-Right-tacoma.png);
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-position: top right;
    }
    #home-widgets .widget_text {
    width: 630px;
    padding: 0;
    background: transparent;
    -moz-box-shadow: none;
    -webkit-box-shadow: none;
    box-shadow: none;
    }

    I tried to add in your last suggestion un-successfully. Can you format it to meet the requirements?

    Thanks, PR

    I wanted to move the current buttons to the upper most corner and stack them next to each other. Kind of like the site mentioned above. Thxs

    Thanks Bill!

    That did the trick – I had to open the editor and the go to the parent Theme folder. I commented out that line and Volia! It seems like a great majority of the work in the WordPress space is handling disputes between themes and plugins!

    Thanks Bill –

    I found that the conflict comes with the Time.ly calendar add-on. We would like to use this Events calendar and have added the Extended Views feature. When we add the Extended Views, that is when the widgets fail to move up to the right. Can you add this plugin and then the extended views to see if you can reproduce? It would be cool if we could find a template fix.

    Thanks, PR

    Thanks Bill! I greatly appreciate your timeliness and expertise. I’ll start to play around with that functionality. I also want to add couple buttons to that area. I have the buttons in place and can not add a space between the two inplace. I’ve tried

    Here’s the code block and I’ve tried adding echo or /l/n with no luck.

    <div id=”extra-content” class=”clearfix”>
    <?php echo do_shortcode( ‘[maxbutton id=”16″]’); ?>

    <?php echo do_shortcode( ‘[maxbutton id=”15″]’ ); ?>
    </div>

    Hi Bill –

    I think we have narrowed down when the menus start failing. If you put an image on a page or slideshow, then browse to that in any browser, you will see the menus begin to hang up.

    Go to either of these URLs and let me know if you see strange behavior.

    Hi Bill – We are still seeing the problem on Windows 8 and Windows 10 with Chrome, IE, and Firefox. Attached is a screenshot with the menus stuck open. We also see the menus roll down with an extra space between each sub menu item. I really hoping this fixable…we’ve put a lot of time into this site.

    AWESOME Bill! That was the ticket, thanks for helping out. One more item, the MaxButtons has a set of fonts that includes images for FB, LinkedIN, and Youtube. I’m wondering it would be possible to put those shortcodes in the toolbar area. Currently, I am using the Class styles and put the social icons in second Menu bar and formatted to the Right side. Sorry to bunch up issues and Thanks again for your help! PR

    Hi Bill – I have been playing around with this and having trouble understanding how to best position the buttons in that area. Currently, the buttons are being put below the logo and pushing the page down. Ideally, I’d like to have the buttons be to the Right of the logo and not push the page down. Also, is there a way to format the shortcode objects in that space. It would be nice to put a few spaces between the buttons.

    Image and File attached.

    Thanks,
    Peter
