Question: Is there any chance to have a step by step instructions on how to build a similar website to http://demo.organizedthemes.com/moonrise/

The fact is that demo website completely fits on my needs.

I’m trying to configure but something is missing.

Hello Joao,

Thank you for your business first of all. Great question too. You can use the sample content from the demo. It’s available at https://support.organizedthemes.com/sample-data/ (there’s a link in the right hand sidebar on the support site too). There are also instructions there on installing the sample content.

The theme also has instructions at https://support.organizedthemes.com/moonrise/ which will give you a walkthrough of the theme and how it works.

If it would be helpful to have the sample content installed, I’d be happy to do that for you. Just send over the URL to your site and a login and I can take care of that. You can mark a reply here as private and I’ll be the only one who can see it.

Please feel free to ask any questions that you have.

Thank you for sending that over Joao. To make sure I’m clear here, you’re moving from WordPress.com to a self-hosted site, correct? Do you need me to install WordPress into your cPanel for you as well? Is the domain name registered with WordPress.com and do you need it to be directed to your new host as well? I can do that no problem, I just wanted to make sure I knew what all you needed.

Once the same content is installed you’re welcome to make edits to in any way you’d like to. By all means use your own menu and contact information.

No problem. I uploaded the options again for you. The home page is partially set in the Theme Options and partially in the widgets. The big scrolling images are set in the theme options page. You can also choose which sections to include there.

The content for the home page is added via widgets. You can add those by going to the Appearance section in your dashboard and selecting widgets.

Good Morning Joao,

I’ve included an embed code for a map at the bottom of this post for you. You’ll need to visit the forum to copy it since the notification email won’t display it correctly.

The screenshot you posted looks like it may be from an iPad. I’m not sure if you can get an embed code from Google Maps on an iPad. I’ve attached a screenshot from my Mac. There is a small gear icon in the bottom right hand corner that you click to get the embed code. It pop upon a small box where you can choose a link or embed. Click on the embed tab and you’ll be able to customize the map and copy the code there.

Good Morning João,

Let me show you how to get that back really quickly in case you ever need to do this again. Go to the Sample Content page on our site (https://support.organizedthemes.com/sample-data/) and download the content for Moonrise. Unzip the file you’ve downloaded. There will be three files inside that folder.

Next go to the Appearance section in your WordPress dashboard and click on Options Import/Export. At the top of this screen there is a spot where you can upload the sample options. In the download you just unzipped, it is called moonrise-options.txt. Select that, upload it and that should do it for you.

You can also use this screen to make a backup of your options. That way once you make changes to your options you can have a backup in case they are reset accidentally.
