Thanks for your help! It didn’t work but I understand this is a bit out of the normal support issues. If I need more assistance I’ll contact you for a customization quote.

Thanks for your feedback. I am still having the same problem for the WooCommerce checkout page. The page title is aligned left but the logo hangs down and overlaps the title (on mobile and laptops alike). I know this is because I have the logo hang down below the main navigation bar. Is there a way to move the checkout page title (which just says “checkout”) to the right of the page to prevent this overlap?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Bill,

You helped me tweak this earlier, but my developer mentioned this in an email today and I agree with her:

“I don’t know what configuration you said you tried for the “sale” but the word still appears cut off on the shop pages. Also, the word appears in the foreground of the screen at all times. When you scroll down, the word “sale” will float over the menu bar, etc. Just a little odd. ”

When my navigation menu opens, it seems the sale icon sits over it and the end of the word is still cut off enough to be a little off-putting. Do You have any suggestions? I sent you a link where you should be able to see exactly what I mean.

    Thx!

Also, how can I add a slide-show to my front page?

Can I enlarge and/or improve the quality of the images as they appear on the Shop page? The original images are high resolution images but they seem faded and not as clear on the Shop page-?? Thx!

Thanks Bill, I replaced the default sidebar with the custom menu and deleted the footer. It took care of the order problem and the “Pages” title I didn’t want but now everything got switched and the search button is now at the top, hidden under the menu on all except the Home page. Isn’t there a SPACER block or “widget” or whatever they call these things in WordPress that I can place in there to shift the items down so they remain visible under the logo? I know them as spacer cells but the WordPress imaginary terms are driving me absolutely NUTS – this is worse than Harry Potter!!

Seems all the changes I make affect either ONLY the Home page or ONLY the other pages-??

I managed to remove the background on the search button only (no idea how) but ONLY on the HOME page (???) The other pages remain the same, meanwhile I have no left side navigation on the Home page (never have been able to get it up there,) and now the dang search button appears without a background BUT TWICE across the top on the Home page instead of once on the left like it’s supposed to. AARGH!! This stuff is NOT intuitive in the least! I can’t figure out how these “Home Blocks” work or where they are and how they align. The demo doesn’t show them as the home page is a solid image and I can’t seem to make them switch places or swap content. After loading my main slide show image in about 5 different places I finally got it to show up but it is far too low on the page. I was trying to move it up but it seems the Home 1 and 2 are not flexible to move to or around so my Home page remains a complete disaster. I am not getting anywhere so will have to wait till next week to pick this up again. :((

Thanks Bill, but I SWEAR I have spent DAYS trying to get rid of the light grey background and there is simply no way to do it. Every single color option is either black, white, cleared out, or dark grey. There never was a light grey selected anywhere and I opened every single color option to check in every possible screen and page. I have revisited them over and over and updated and refreshed till I feel like I am losing my mind trying to dig my way out of Alcatraz with a toothpick! AAARGH! Maybe there is something wrong with my system but I have done all these things and nothing changes.

Also, on the Pages title for the widgets sidebar, there never was a title on it to begin with that I could even remove (and I can send yo a pick of the screen to prove it) yet it keeps appearing on the actual pages! I can’t have my logo any smaller because it will no longer be visible due to the detail in it. Can I just opt for a custom sidebar then? If so, how do I do that? The only thing I finally had right WAS the logo, so I don’t want to go and mess that up now. 🙁

    Thanks Bill,

I hope you have a good weekend as well. So I got the left bar to narrow and changed image ok – yeah! What I have beat my head against the wall with is trying to get the light grey background removed on all the widgets. I have made every single widget option CLEAR, even all the text and yet nothing seems to change.

I also would like to get rid of the word “Pages” above the widget/links but couldn’t find it anywhere to remove as it is partially blocked by the logo and isn’t important anyway.

I don’t think I can add the Simple Page Order plugin to re-arrange the sidebar links because the specs said it doesn’t work on Windows 7 and that is what I have. Can I just dump the footer navigation, which isn’t showing up anyway, and use the “sidebar navigation” I created already, as the Elite specs said it supports 2 navigation bars?? Not sure how to get either to show up as only the Header has obeyed me.
