    Hello Bill!

    You recently worked out an issue for us with the video format on blog posts (thanks!). We have a new issue! No video is displayed.

    (I should add that the video from the blog post below, which you can’t see in the picture, does show up, so the issue is with the most recent post only.)

    What should I do?

    Hello Ana,

    I’d be glad to see what’s going on. Where is the video supposed to be that you’re not seeing it?

    Hello Bill,

    That white space you see in the picture above the title is where the video was supposed to be. I’ve published a new post in the meantime with a video and the same thing happens. What’s weird is that we have one other blog post with the video format and it’s fine.

    What should I do?

    Hey Ana, I just took a look at ievaladares.org/blog/ and didn’t see any white spaces in the blog. If you switched the format to something other Han video, can you change it back? I’ll need to look at the code to know what’s happening.

    Thanks Ana! That does help out with what’s going on. Oddly unlike last time, I can duplicate the trouble on my own site. Would you be open to letting me log in one more time to look at the backend?

    Thanks for sending that. I took a look. It appears that the URL to the YouTube video had a shortcode ([embed]) around it. I took that out, leaving just the URL to your video, and that seems to have done the trick.

    So to add in a video, just place the URL to the video’s page on its own line. No shortcodes necessary there. Once the page is published that should work for you.
