Sidebar displays differently on Staff Page

Hi Bill,

I have a question about the Staff page. I have built a group and the staff page per the set-up instructions. However, our sidebar displays differently on the Staff page than it does everywhere else on the site. Is there a setting I missed. It simply shows a sitemap.

Good question. The staff section has an optional sidebar that can be used just for it. It looks like there may be a navigation menu widget added to it. Go to the widget section and see if there is a widget in the staff sidebar. If there is, then it will be displayed instead of the default sidebar. To show the default instead, remove the widget and the default should display.

Thanks Bill! There was a widget there that was unpopulated. I removed it, but now the default sidebar I set-up isn’t displaying. http://www.shelterourpets.org/staff-group/board/

You know what. That looks like a bug. Here’s how to fix it:

1. Go to the Appearance section and select Edit.
2. From the list of files on your right, choose sidebar.php
3. Replace all the code there with this:

4. Save your changes.

I’ll roll that fix into the next theme update so you can update without worrying about losing your fix.
