I want to use the following fonts with the Kerygma theme, but they aren’t available under Theme Options > Content > Headings and Body Text:

    Josefin Sans
    Parisish

I have font files for these fonts and I can probably load them to my WordPress files, but that won’t let me use them in any content controlled by the Kerygma theme. Is there a way to load these fonts so they are available to use with the theme?

    Thanks!

    Good Morning Robert,

That is an excellent question. You’ll need to disable the built-in Google fonts. To do that go to the Appearance section in your WordPress dashboard and choose Theme Options. Click on the Advanced tab and you’ll find the checkbox to do that. Save your changes.

There are a few plugins out there that will allow you to add a font to your site via something called @font-face. The plugin I had most often used with customers for this in no longer supported by its developer and I don’t have personal experience using these. Use Any Font (https://wordpress.org/plugins/use-any-font/) looks promising and it has a overwhelmingly good rating so I would give it a try first. The other two options are Font (https://wordpress.org/plugins/font/) and WP Font Face (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-font-face/).

If you run into any questions or trouble, let me know.

    Thanks,
    Bill
