I picked an image from the media library for a header image. When I go to look at the page it only shows as an graphic box with no picture. I have tried a PNG, JPG, and GIF file all with the same result.
November 1, 2011 at 09:00 #4024Bill RobbinsModeratorRichard, sorry for the trouble. Could you send a link to where you’re working with the theme so I can take a closer look?
November 1, 2011 at 09:32 #4025Richard OliverParticipantActually it is on the local host on my computer. I have not got a web provider yet. I got past that problem, I just clicked the use this image button. When I preview it it overlaps the grey bar with the RSS logo.
November 1, 2011 at 10:01 #4026Bill RobbinsModeratorSounds like the logo image may be too tall for the space. For the best result, I’d suggest sizing your image to be around 90 pixels high.
If you’d rather have more space, you can make the header area taller. In the theme options page, go to the Styling tab and scroll down to the very bottom. In the box for “custom css” paste this:
#header { height: 180px; }
That will increase the height of the header area to fit a larger logo. You can adjust the 180px — 180 pixels — to give you the size you need.
Let me know if you have any trouble.
November 1, 2011 at 11:24 #4028Richard OliverParticipantThanks!, that did the trick. Now on to figuring out the slides, would I change the colors of the bar under the image in the same way? I am pretty new to this.
November 1, 2011 at 12:34 #4029Richard OliverParticipantI read another post about the slides and got that working. Thanks for getting me started. Now on to menus!
November 1, 2011 at 15:23 #4032Bill RobbinsModeratorGlad you found that. If you have any trouble setting up menus, there is a quick video about that in our video section that will walk you through that.
Let me know if you need anything else.
November 15, 2011 at 14:41 #4133Jon GilgoffParticipantHello!
I’m using Foundation 1.1.1. Is there a way
to do the above in this version?Thanks!
November 15, 2011 at 14:51 #4134Bill RobbinsModeratorYou can do that in an earlier version too. Go to the appearance section of your WordPress control panel and select edit to open up the theme editor. From the list of files on your right, choose style.css. Now scroll down to the very bottom and paste the code from above into the editor. Then save your changes. See if that doesn’t give you more room. If you have trouble, let me know and send me a link to where you’re working on it so I can a look too.
Thanks
November 15, 2011 at 16:16 #4135Jon GilgoffParticipantThanks for quick response! I went ahead and did as you
instructed. It increased the area directly above the slide show,
but not area above menu bar (I’m looking to increase the size
of the area above menu bar).Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Here’s link:

Thanks a million!
November 15, 2011 at 17:57 #4136Bill RobbinsModeratorYou’ll need to make one other edit. Add the one above back in and then find this spot in the style.css file:
#navigation {
position: absolute;
top: 95px;
z-index: 11;
width: 100%;
height: 40px;
color: #fff;
background-color: #309BB4;
}and replace it with this:
#navigation {
position: absolute;
bottom: 0;
z-index: 11;
width: 100%;
height: 40px;
color: #fff;
background-color: #309BB4;
}And save your changes. See if that doesn’t give you more space where you’d like it to be.
November 15, 2011 at 18:33 #4137Jon GilgoffParticipantThat worked! Thanks a million!!
