Larger Slide Images on Homepage

How can I display larger images on the front slide? am I limited to show images 960 by 350? Thanks !

Christina,

Great question. You can use taller images on the home page if you’d like to with a small edit to the theme. Here’s how:

1. Go to the Appearance section and select Edit.
2. From the list of files on your right, choose images.php and look for this line:

   
   add_image_size('header-image', 960, 350, true);
   

3. The 960 here is the width of the slider images and 350 is the height in pixels. Change the 350 to the height you’d like to have and save your changes.

That will affect any new images uploaded. To change any images you’ve previously uploaded, you can use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin to change those.
