Hi Bill
I am using the Progress theme
I have three widgets on the bottom of the front page. I used a text widget and inserted a photo.
I then attached a link to the photo
I then noticed I linked to the wrong page. When I went to change it it remained at the same link. I then took out the link and left it at
the picture still has the original link attached. I tried going to permalink and saving twice to reset. I also tried deleting the second two widgets and starting over. The middle widget still has the link and the third widget has a sepeartion bewtween the title and photo.
What can I do to get the middle widget to accept a new link page and how can I get the text title and photo of the third text widget to join together again?
Thank you

Thank you for your business and sorry for the trouble. Any chance you can send over a link to where you’re working with the theme so I can take a look at the text widget for you?
Thanks,

Thank you for responding so quickly. I’m a real rookie with websites….learning on the fly. When you ask for a link, what are you actually looking for?
Also if you notice the pictures above, if you click on the picture, or even bottom text it goes to the web page I was trying to change. I had wrote the codes that I put in to show you what I had done, and I was not expecting the widget photo to link up on this forum page.
The code I used in the widget (photo url removed) is:
‘
to add a link to another page on the website I used
this was placed in front of the code above.
Thanks for your help. By the way the Progress theme is great!!!
Also could you remove the photos in the first message from this forum page? Thanks
Kyle

No problem. I was hoping you could send a link to the website itself. That way I can check through the source code on the entire page and see if there is something interfering with the link. Sometimes there are links that are unintentionally left open which causes trouble for other elements on the page.
Thanks,

Thanks for sending over the link. I took a look at the code and this is what I found. In the first and last text widgets on the home page, it looks like the closing </a> is missing which is most likely what’s causing the trouble. In the first widget change this:
<a href="http://diversecitymunich.com/prayer-first-team-2/"><img src=" http://diversecitymunich.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/ManPrayingForCityHD-1344-x-756-.jpg " />' The first link in our DNA at Mosaic is to embrace dependence through prayer! We must either be praying or fainting....Read more
to this:
That will close out the link and allow the code after it to function as it should. You’ll also want to add the closing tag to the other text widget too.
If you run into trouble, let me know.
