    Hi Bill,

    Is it possible to export podcasts as blog posts?

    I am trying to import my content onto another wordpress theme, and it refuses to acknowledge my podcast post’s existence.

    I’ve tried everything, but nothing’s working (note, this duplicate site is not set up as a podcast site – I don’t need the audio copied across, just the text from the pages).

    Hi Salena,

    You can do that. What you’ll need to do first is add podcast support to your new theme so you can import them. There is a plugin called Custom Post Type UI (https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/) that will let you create a podcast post type on your new site. Then you’ll be able to import the podcasts.

    From there you’ll need to convert the podcasts to posts. You can do that with a plugin called Post Type Switcher (https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-type-switcher/). After you’ve converted them, you can remove both plugins as they don’t need to remain once finished.
