Hi,
I’m writing in this forum because there is now selective “Curator-Forum” 🙂
After WordPress Update the Drop Down Menue is not longer working.
When I go down to choose one of the sub-links the whole drop-down Menue disappears.
I’ve tryed to set up a new Menue but this doesn’t work too.
Best,
Michael
Hello Michael,
Good question. In WordPress 3.6, there was an update to the jQuery javascript library that was bundled with WordPress. The new version number (1.10.2) made the image lightbox that’s bundled with the theme, think that the jQuery used is too old since mathematically 1.1 is the same as 1.10. That caused an error to be thrown and the menus and other items to stop working.
There are a few options for you:
- I made a plugin to roll the version of jQuery used back to 1.9. You can find it at https://support.organizedthemes.com/wordpress-3-6/
- You can disable the image lightbox in the theme options page. That will remove the error too.
- You can download the current version of the theme from our support site (https://support.organizedthemes.com/downloads/). You’ll need to unzip the curator.zip file you downloaded and rename the folder curator-update and then zip it back up. You can then install it like you normally would a new WordPress theme. You’ll likely have to reassign your navigation menu to the theme’s location, but that should do it as well.
If you need help, let me know. The theme was retired last spring. I waited about six months after the last forum post before archiving those topics as well.
Take care,
Bill
Hey Bill,
thank you it works!
I haven’t seen that theres is an update of the theme, because WordPress did not mention it in the theme-overview.
Best,
Michael
Glad that worked. Sorry about that. Dashboard updates for the theme weren’t added until later than the version that you’ve been using.
Take care,
Bill
