Blog hero logo & cropping blog posts

Hi Bill!

I have 2 questions for you about my blog page.

1. I added a hero to my blog and added in the alternate logo I want to use but it’s not showing up. Any insight on that?

2. Is there a way for me to cut it off so that the blog page only displays excerpts of my blog posts and not the entire thing?

Hello Jenny,

Good questions. I don’t believe the built in option to change out the logo on the posts page will work. You’re welcome to make an edit to the header.php file and see if you can make it work. This isn’t tested, but may do the trick. Just replace everything in the header.php file with this:

Also in the theme options (I believe it’s the content tab), there is an option to choose whether blog posts display the expert or the full content. Choose the excerpt option there to keep the full post from showing.

Or you can add a read more tag inside each post’s content. That will show everything before the spot where that tag is added. The rest will only be visible on the full post.
