I like to add another template to the widget area so that i can have different sidebar content on separate pages. In the editor section i see the template.php files and am wondering if i can just copy and past the page.php and name it something different. Then add an entry in the widget.php file. Do i need to add references to the new template in other files? Can you help with this, or is this something i need to figure out on my own?

    Thanks,
    Carlo.

I’m curious about this as well. This was one of the first things that I noticed which became a concern.

    Hey Michael,
I found a plugin that allows you to select which widgets you want to be displayed on your pages. It works really well. It is called “Display Widgets”.

After installing and activating the plugin, all you have to do is include (drag & drop) the widget on the “Page Sidebar” tab, then select the page you want it displayed on. Makes sure that page has the default template, and you are good to go.
