Is it possible to have a page that only shows blog posts with certain tags? We’d like to have a news section with press releases and also a blog on local history.

Excellent question. You can do that either with tags or post categories. To create the “page” what you’ll actually do is just add the category or tag to your navigation menu. It’ll create a blog page with just that tag or category in it. If you don’t see categories or tags listed in your navigation builder, click on the screen options tab in the top right corner and make sure the boxes next to them are checked.
Then all you’ll have to do is add the appropriate tags or categories to your posts to have them appear in the right spot.
