Unable to locate where I can choose the home page menu.

Also when I use mailchimp widget I get an error for ID #. I only have one list so it should be 1 right?

Finding the spot to add a link to your home page in the WordPress menu builder is a bit tricky at the moment. The lady in charge of the user interface is working on a change for it, but until then here’s how you can find it.

1) Go to the appearance section and select menu to open up the navigation section.
2) In the left hand column, find the pages section and click “view all.” Even if you can see all your pages, you’ll still need to click it.
3) That should add a “home” link that you can add to your menu now.
4) Update your menu.

There is a quick screencast in our video section that can walk you through it if you’d like to see an example.

For the MailChimp, your list ID would be the ID number they are looking for here. That along with your API key should be all you need there.

Thanks for your quick response Bill. Unfortunately my main problem is getting the main menu to show on the top of the front page. I don’t have a box in wp admin menus for Primary Navigation on my live site, but it shows on localhost. I’ve reinstalled WP 3.3.1 and it still doesn’t show.

If needed I can email you the admin ID and pass.

I got the menu problem figured out. I hadn’t noticed that you use the options in admin to show or not show Theme Location and Custom Link.
