Like I said…. had to be something obvious. 🙂 Thanks.

Also… when I go into Customize from under Appearance… I get this warning:

Creating default object from empty value in /home/alphao14/public_html/wp/wp-content/themes/grassroots/includes/theme-customizer.php

Ok. After a quick look at the element, the issue was I was bracketing my text with <>, hence it was reading it as code. I changed it and it is working fine. I feel dumb. My bad. 🙂

Hmm. I don’t know if I am unclear… or I am not following you. I will try again.

I have a podcast page that I want to have text in the content area. It is not showing. I think this is due to an actual podcast file not being present. If there is text in the content area where a podcast file is present, the text shows fine; but in the example podcast page I linked, text is not showing even though it has been typed in. Even when I “inspect the element” the text is showing as being there, just not displaying.

Sorry. I may not have been specific enough.

When you are in the store and click on a product, on the item page for that product, my images are enlarging over the entire text of the item description.

    All seems fine now. Thanks.

On a side note, you should list other plugins that work well with your themes. 😉

I tried several. 4 to be exact. I will try those 2 and see if one works. With so many not working, I felt it maybe was conflicting with the theme somehow.

I will follow up again if needed.

Thanks for your always prompt help and responses.

Also, no other plugins gave me an alert, but the one I am trying now (and we are fiddling with) states that:

get_footer() or wp_footer() call is missing from the template!

Not sure if that is a real issue, but I thought I would throw that in the mix as well.

As a shortcode. You can see the issue at http://www.bootsnsaddlesfolsom.net/hello-world and also at /sample-page.

I’ll give that a shot. I could have overlooked in the Instructions section, but what is the ideal dimensions for the logo. It seemed yours was 467x50px. Is that the ideal? What would be the max dimensions?

Ok. I think I am understanding.

So last thing I think. I did do some custom editing to the widget-contact.php file.

Do I just replace the file in the child theme with the one from the parent backup? Or do I need to do something specific so it shows/displays in my Appearance/Editor section of the child theme?

I had forgotten I did the editing, so when I updated it of course removed my changes.

    Thanks.

I used the plugin you mentioned in your blog (the One-Click Child Theme). Everything seems to be working fine. So if I update the main theme now, what would happen?

I am looking down the road as well for my future development projects. Just more curious about if building a project in a child theme from the start would always be the best course of action. From what I am following from what I hear you saying, I believe it would.

Has anyone ever told you are good at what you do? I’m sure they have. Thanks again. Works great.

I figured I would follow up here with this again. I have since moved this site live since we last spoke. Desktop view/site works just fine. Now I’ve noticed similar issues are now occurring on the mobile site. It seems isolated to the portrait view, not the landscape view. Thanks.

Thanks for the advice. I don’t want someone’s widget that isn’t coded properly. I found an alternative that worked seamlessly as soon as I dropped it in. I truly appreciate it.

Been one of those weeks/weekends. Just now was able to implement your code and of course, it worked flawlessly. Thanks again Bill.

    Bill,

Thanks for all you do for your customers. Your service is beyond great. Thank you for taking the time to find my one typo that was preventing it from working. It is fine now.

Nevermind. As you know it’s amazing the “damage” even one wrong keystroke can do. I had a space between the url and (. It works just fine. Thanks.

I tried that and it doesn’t work. When I Inspect Element, my CSS is striked-through. Is there a parent element or something taking precedence?

Not working. I am not really wanting to replace the hero-title, just put an image where the color is. I want to the hero-title to appear on the same image I have in my navigation/header area to be “under” the hero-title text. Make sense?
