    Yeah, I used to get notices from you and I would respond immediately. Now I don’t. I only know to check for your response if I remember. Just like this one. I wasn’t notified. And you can see I have the boxed checked.

    Oh. ok, I understand. Off topic. For some reason I’m not getting notified when you respond to my emails even though I click the check box. Have others been having issues? I can’t see where it’s going to junk/spam. I just happened to remember I sent you a question.

    Hope you had a good Memorial Day weekend.

    Take care,

    It’s 2.0. This works great. I added some padding in the div tag and looks great.

    Good Morning Bill,

    Thanks for the info. I downloaded the CSSEdit app that you referred to me and it’s been very helpful…Thanks. I played around with the Stylesheet and could not get anything to work. However, I was messing with it just now before I responded to your post and was able to get the margin adjustment I wanted.

    I used this snippet to get the Header to align to the top of the margin. It worked! Yay!

    .cbp-so-side-right {
    margin-top: -50px;
    }

    Question on the Button Shortcode…Is there a way to get the ‘button url’ to open in another window for an external site link (I know thats not ideal)? I tried entering an html tag like target=”blank”. But I read that html tags don’t work with certain shortcodes. Any advices would be great.

    Thanks,
    Matt

    I was wondering why I couldn’t find the other topic.:) You had me going there. I added your html and went through and tried to compare where there were differences. The only thing I see is that you used an image and I used and image from a Url link. I see that you have image padding for the top at 30px. I tried that and no difference. The spaces don’t show in the text editor like they do in the html I posted earlier.

    This is what I have with your html. Although yours has a slight drop, I can deal with it more than I can mine.You can see that’s it identical besides the anchor tags.

    <h2>Flexibility</h2>
    The home page in Elite is made up entirely of widgets. That gives you the maximum amount of flexibility possible in terms of how you set up your site. Want to show products on your home page? Piece of cake. Just use our <em>Home Product Block</em> widget that you can see in the previous section to show off your best items.

    This block is made using the <em>Page Content</em> block. It pulls content from a page and displays it where ever you'd like to have it on your home page. That lets you add in styled text, images, photo galleries, and any other content that you can add into a page. You can also show your latest posts, display customer testimonials and add in call to action banners.

    Details

    It’s on a page where I am using the Animation and Button Shortcode. If I use Full Page width everything is centered and fine, but when I use a sidebar template it cause spacing above the header. It seems to be surrounding the the Animation shortcode, but not sure how to remove it.

    Ok. I see what you’re saying. I tried the above style from Woocommerce and it didn’t remove the category. I know I put the correct slug. Anyways, the only workaround I know is to put a category like ‘All Products’ so that it makes since only thing is I not all products will be in it want all products to be in it. Say I only want to show three on the front page because I don’t have enough to fill two lines. Then when you go to the Shop Page and see ‘All Products’ and click on it, it on displays a few (the ones you use for the Home Page). Not exactly All Products.

    Not sure how I’m going to figure this out. If the above style would have worked correctly then it would have alleviated that issue. Anyways, I think have a work around. Why does this have to be so difficult. 🙂 You’re the best!!

    Thanks,

    Yes they only have an options to exclude a Product from the Shop Page. Just found out what the post was talking about. It won’t work in my instance.

    I see what you’re saying and I do think that is an option, however, I just tried it and the gallery will not allow me to change the URL link. Not sure why. I have Link to: Attachement, Media & None, but the URL is grey out and won’t let me change it. Even if I try Media file, nothing. It’s want to make it it’s own post page. Am I missing something? I like your idea, otherwise I may just have to use the Woocommerce Category style above.

    I see what your saying. So basically I would just create a category specifically to show for the home Page per se. I can then order the ones I want to show on the Home Products Widget. Right?

    For Hiding the categories on my products page so that don’t show in multiple ones, I’m not sure how to do that. I definitely wouldn’t want catergory for ie. “Home Section 1” to show up under Categories.

    I was reading a post someone mentioned on WoomCommerce about being able to hide products and only show grouped producst.http://www.sellwithwp.com/woocommerce-grouped-products/. But I don’t know what version of WP they are using, but I don’t see ‘the options’ that they are showing as an example at the bottom.

    Thanks,

    Thanks Bill. I did some more in depth searching this AM and was able to find two posts.

    One regarding Changing the Color of the Hero Text for Category Page as well as removing the Category Title if they prefer one over the other and one similar to the one above regarding the Category Hero image. I guess Forum post Titles and tags have to be specific when other post them or I just need to learn how to search them LOL.

    You gave them the snippet below at https://support.organizedthemes.com/forums/topic/product-catalog/

    .tax-product_cat #hero-section {
    display: none;
    }

    body.image.tax-product_cat .wrap {
    margin-top: 150px;
    }

    They both seem to work.

    Thanks again for your AWESOME SUPPORT! As always you provide top-notch service unmatched by any that I know of. You are a great person.

    Have a wonderful weekend too! 🙂

    Thank You!

    I see. I’m not sure if this correct, but I uploaded my 500×500 product image to show as the category. It fits the place holder (which also make it too small for the Hero). It’s like I need a completely different size images for the category archives (same as Hero). Are your category archive thumbnails the size of your Hero?

    I looked through on the forum before I asked, but only saw one place where someone was asking how to hide the category, not necessarily the Hero for the category. I agree it prob would be better to have the image. I’m just having trouble finding one to fit 150×150 and 2400×1920 at the same time. I am limited in my selection of images. I can set up an example so you can see. Plus I guess there no way to change the Hero Title either. It appears in white on left-aligned.

    Thanks again for your help on this!

    I will take a look. Thanks.

    One more thing I would like to ask in this post.

    I decided to show product categories instead of products and categories in the Shop page. So when I do that there are no images in the place holders. I realized I need to add a thumbnail to the category so it will display.

    The issue… When I do that it puts the thumbnail in category when I click on the category it opens the product page and the Hero section has the thumbnail blown up in it with the cat. name. I just want the products to show. Because I cannot edit the individual product page templates I’m not sure how to control that. Have you run in to this before? I don’t have an example on my site because I want to see if there is a solution before I change it back.

    Ok. Bill Thank you.

    Here’s the results…The Image Logo was my fault, I inverted my comment tag so it worked after I fixed that. Sorry.

    Second, My menu pages still don’t show up. I’m not sure if you can take a look on your mobile or not but when I click on the Menu at the top the drop down shows, but text not visible. When I touch an area the link shows but no way to see the navigation items. (see picture)

    Also, it there a way to move my Footer Text Widget to the right on the iPad? For some reason it puts it all the way to to left under the social icons which looks pretty funny. (pic below)

    Other than that I believe thats it.

    Thanks for the info. I’ve tried to look at some books, but they are very daunting and I cannot comprehend anything out of them. I am a visual learner and I have to see it in action to remember, that’s why I wouldn’t do well coding. I like the idea of being able to see the real CSS as opposed to what Inspect Element shows, b/c it really doesn’t help like I wish it would. I have a Mac so I may check out CSSEdit.

    Thanks a Bunch!! For the advice too!

    Ok Bill…Here’s what I got.

    1. On the Nav Menu I understand that the color is controlled for the drop down in Theme Options. The issue is that my pages do not show in the drop down. They are suppose to be white, but they are invisible. I guess I sent you a bad example but none of my Text is showing in the drop down (portrait or landscape. The Text has taken on the appearance of the background color for some reason, but I spec’d it white.

    2. The Logo size is not being affected when I change the width size (landscape is fine, portrait mode is behind Nav Menu). I went all the way down to 50px and no change. Not sure if I did something wrong or not. I only have the max-width disabled for the Text-Logo, but I’m using a Image-Logo so I can use a drop shadow so that should affect it, should it.

    I got everything else to work. After being able to tweak the code a little.

    You are a blessing Bill and I thank you for your support. If I can just get the above figured out I think I can finally leave you alone…LOL!

    Could You also explain the Media query part?

    Ok, So I guess the original intention for the Hero Only template is to be used with a featured image instead of a gallery.

    I was just looking another way to display my gallery only without having an empty page underneath and a sidebar.

    Would I be able to add a thumbnail gallery (similar to the Shop) below for my artwork images or is this theme not really setup for that?

    Thanks again,
