It doesn’t seem to work. However, I applied it under “Inspect Element” tool and it works. Not sure why.
Dare AdelugbaParticipantSounds good. I’ll will keep you posted. Thank you.
Dare AdelugbaParticipantHi Bill,
I hope I am not double-posting. I posted earlier but I may not have pressed the submit button.
Perhaps my question should’ve been if it’s possible to update/highlight a fixed menu as you scroll down vertically.
I like the “smooth scrolling” feature so I want to keep it but would be nice to know if I can add the elements of the scrollspy without removing the smooth scrolling js file.
Thank you,
DareDare AdelugbaParticipantThanks again Bill. I think I need some patience :). I did not add the complimentary function.php code. It’s displaying nicely soon as I added the function code.
Dare AdelugbaParticipantHi Bill,
This is just an update that the header is okay now and I have removed the in-line styling. I had to assign a height to the new div and the styling was noticeable soon as I gave it a 300px height.
Thanks once again.
DareDare AdelugbaParticipantIt works. Now I know t’s the body color that prevents it from showing. But I’ll use the inline styling for now.
Thanks and have a good evening. Sun is already going down on the east coast 🙂
Dare AdelugbaParticipantStyling still not work. I will add to a list of my requests once the site islive in a couple of weeks or sooner.
Thanks Bill.
Dare AdelugbaParticipantIt works. I got the header the way I wanted except for styling the background.
My new wrap is
<div = "new-header" class="clearfix"> </div>
Then my css is
#new-header { background: #fff; }
but doesn’t work. I tried using ‘background-color:’ too. I tried the code in both the child theme editor and in the custom css did not worked. However, the styling works when I applied under the inspect element tool.
Sorry Bill for giving you the trouble.

Dare AdelugbaParticipantThanks Bill. I want the entire header with nav bars to go from edge to edge. But I will auto-center the nav bar. When I tried it it stretched the #wrap div throughout all pages so I will appreciate your help.

Dare AdelugbaParticipantBill,
This is a follow-up. The adjustment is for large screen only. iPad and smaller screens are fine as is.
Thanks,
Dare
Dare AdelugbaParticipantThanks again Bill. Since this is not a priority right now I’ll wait till I upload changes to the site and the site is live.
I appreciate all your helps.

Dare AdelugbaParticipantHi Bill
This code seems to have worked but I still need to move to the left a little bit:
#logo, h1{ width: 755px; float: left; } #tagline p, #tagline h2{ margin-top: 50px; margin-right: 30px
But I hope it won’t break any header codes.
Thank you

Dare AdelugbaParticipantThank you Bill. I resolved my issue with a Jetpack image plugin.
Dare AdelugbaParticipantI just did. Thanks for the recommendation.
Dare AdelugbaParticipantThanks Bill. Sorry my question was not clear enough. I meant the header logo text. However, here is what I finally came up with:
#text-logo p, #text-logo h1, .outside #text-logo h1, .outside #text-logo p{ }
Thanks for your help and have a blessed weekend,
Dare AdelugbaParticipantThanks Bill. I think Epic is better. I like the look on some of the sites using Epic.
Dare AdelugbaParticipantOk thanks Bill. I never heard of Espresso before. I will definitely check it out.
Dare AdelugbaParticipantSorry Bill. Ignore the post. I put the widgets in the default area and they are showing now. Thanks.
