Christopher SimmonsParticipant
I found the culprit! It was the WordPress Knowledgeable Q & A plugin. I don’t recall installing it — I think it might have be automatically added as part of a WP update.
Thanks for the help!
Christopher SimmonsParticipantThanks Bill.
I thought of that also, but when I went in and set it to full content it made no difference.
The descriptions are all excepts, but now they suddenly have “continue reading” added to each of them. It’s really bizarre — and seemingly occurred with no intervention or update on our part.
Any other ideas? I’m stumped!

Christopher SimmonsParticipantThat did it! Brilliant. Look like everything is working like a charm now.
Thank you!!
Christopher SimmonsParticipantAha!
The culprit is/was the ‘Supreme Short Codes’ plugin.

The challenge is that I’ve used it to style most of the site — particularly to get responsive columns.
I’ve read that there is an issue with Chrome loading background images, having to do with ensuring the image url is load before the “background-size: cover” CSS. Not sure if this is related.
I’m sure it is beyond the scope of your support to troubleshoot third part plugins, but if you have any immediate ideas on how I might resolve the confilct I’d be so grateful. Meanwhile I’m looking into other options for creating responsive columns.
Thanks!!
Christopher SimmonsParticipantAwesome. Thanks so much for your help. It’s all sorted now!
Christopher SimmonsParticipantThanks Bill!
I’m going to try this, but wanted to ask about an alternate approach, based on your answer.
Is it possible to use that same scrolling javascript to SUBTRACT a specified number of pixels rather than add them? If so, I could add a margin or padding to all pages so the elements are positioned right, but subtract the additional padding when navigating within the home page so we don’t get extra huge margins at the top.
Maybe that’s a dumb idea, but figured I’d run it past you.
Thanks for the incredibly swift response. The site launches tomorrow (hopefully). I think you’ll like what we’ve done with the theme!
