I am trying to install WooCommerce into my WordPress site. It seems stuck at:

    “Downloading install package from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/woocommerce.2.0.20.zip…

    Unpacking the package…”

It hasn’t progressed beyond this spot for a couple of hours.

    My site address is mokaparlour.com

    Thanks!

    Hello Brandon,

Sorry for the trouble there. That should typically take anywhere from 5 to 20 seconds so that’s way too long. Have you tried downloading the plugin file from wordpress.org and then installing it via uploading it to your site? If you haven’t, that’s what I would try next.

If that doesn’t work, are you able to upload anything to your site? Most often when there’s that type of trouble that persists, there is an issue of file permissions on the server. You can change those through the web host’s control panel file browser or by using a FTP program. Generally you want to set the wp-content folder to 755 so WordPress can create things there as needed.

If you run into trouble, let me know,
    Bill
