What is your best theme for a full screen slider?

I wasn’t sure where to put this post as it’s a general question, and I know Elite is good for this.
1) What are your best themes for full screen sliders?
2) Would Mise En Place work with this?Thanks in advance.
Great question. I would suggest Finesse for that. It has a built in hero slideshow similar to Elite, but the slides are added by editing the page directly instead of in a separate section like Elite’s slider. If I didn’t have to worry about backwards compatibility, I would have changed Elite’s slider to be like Finesse’s a year ago.
You might be able to do that with Mise En Place. You’d need to use a plugin for the slider though as it doesn’t have a built in one at this time. I may add one in the future though.

For a hero image, you need it large because of the size of some desktop monitors. Somewhere around 2000 to 2200 pixels wide by 1400 or 1600 pixels tall is probably a good range to shoot for. You don’t want it overly big because that can greatly increase the file size.
It’s also a good rule of thumb to keep the main focus of the image towards the center of the picture. That way as portions of the top/sides are cropped due to the browser window’s aspect ratio being different from the image’s, you won’t lose anything vital.
