upgrade foundation theme

Hello,
What is the best way to upgrade the theme?
I cannot find any documentation about it..

Great question. Here are two different ways to update a theme:

1. Download the current release from our site. Unzip the ZIP file you downloaded. Rename the folder from “foundation” to something like “foundation-update” and ZIP it back up. Now install it as a new theme.

   I generally leave my original theme options page open, so I copy and paste settings from the original one to the new one.

2. The second option is to download the current release and unzip the archive. The use a FTP program to upload the files to the wp-content/themes/foundation directory on your server.

   Not all that long ago, this was the only way to install themes.

You can also open up the file called readme.txt that’s inside the theme folder to see what changes have been made in each version. If you don’t see anything pressing there, then you don’t have to make a change.

At some point we will go to an automatic update model, but that’s not likely until the of the year.
