Hi Bill,
I tried to update the theme to 1.4.1 and got this message:
—
Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
Destination folder already exists. /public_html/test-4/wp-content/themes/foxy/
Theme install failed.

Do you have a step-by-step on updating themes so I can see what step I missed.
Thanks.
Becky
Becky,
Good question. If you’d like to use the built in theme uploader, then you’ll need to unzip the foxy.zip folder and rename the folder to something like foxy-update. Then zip it back up. WordPress will then let you use the uploader to add in the update.
Or you can use a FTP program to upload the new theme folder to replace the old one.
Let me know if you have any trouble,
Bill
Hi Bill,
Got that to work. Thanks!
I updated on a test site so I could compare the update to the original site. Here’s the updates I had to make.
– All of the Theme Options went to default. I had to reload the logo, favicon, and slideshow images from the media library and copy the social media links.
– I copied and pasted from the original site CSS changes (Appearance/Theme Options/Style) to the updated one.
– The menu had to be selected again.
– Upload dark social image icons since I changed from a dark background to a light background.
