    Hi Bill,

this is my background image almost everywhere on my web: http://www.hgwmodels.cz/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/novy.jpg

It is still visible almost everywhere. Please, check these links:

    http://www.hgwmodels.cz/en/product-group/products/
    http://www.hgwmodels.cz/en/media/
    http://www.hgwmodels.cz/en/distributors/

But I don’t know why it isn’t displayed on top page: http://www.hgwmodels.cz/en/

There was some development about this issue. Suddenly my top page started to show the background image I posted few month ago with one particular blog post (http://www.hgwmodels.cz/en/2013/10/21/october-2013-newsletter/). It didn’t make any sense because I didn’t edit anything in administration. I tried to delete this picture (it isn’t displayed in the blog post anymore as you can see) and tried to reload wished background picture again but without any results. Top page is just displaying black background.

    Thanks for your advices.

    All the best

    Martin

    Hello Martin,

I took a look at the source code on your front page. It looks like the URL to your image isn’t being output so that narrows it down so we know it’s not a javascript conflict of some type that’s keeping it from displaying.

Since your home page is showing your latest posts, let’s double check this. Go to Appearance section and select Theme Options. Choose the Background tab. Scroll down until you find the “Slide 1” image field. Make sure the image is selected there and save your changes. Since the home page is set to show your latest posts, it will ignore any featured image or format selected for your home page so it should pull from the first image there.

If that doesn’t take care of it, let me know and if possible send over a login so I can take a look at the backend too. You can make a private reply here so no one else will be able to see.

    Thanks,
    Bill

Sorry about that. There is a separate spot for a background to use with “archives” which the front page is now technically. So I added the image there in the background settings and that seems to have it going again.

Let me know if you run into any trouble there.

    Thanks,
    Bill
