When adding to the top menu, I see where the included items have settings on the pieces, “series”, “custom”, “speaker”, “page”. When I add a new item I can only get the “custom”. If I were adding a speaker or a series, do I just add it with the custom link section? Does it matter?

    Jeff,

Good question. WordPress loves to hide things in the admin to “reduce clutter” but usually the result is to increase confusion. What you’ll want to do is go to the menu builder (Appearance > Menu) and then click “Screen Options” in the top right corner of that page. There are several content types that will be listed at the top there. You can check any ones you’d like to be able to directly add to your navigation.

If you need to create a new speaker or series, you can do that by going to Podcasts and then selecting Speakers or Series from that section. That will let you add in new series and speakers.

Let me know if you have any questions or trouble,
    Bill
