    I don’t seem to be able to get sub-menus to show up on my iPhone. Is that the correct behaviour? If so, that means I need to create a separate menu for mobiles where those peskie sub-menus are no longer sub-, right?

    There is a separate menu location for mobile phones for that very reason. The sub-menu items didn’t work as well as I liked, so I created a menu for phone sized layouts specifically.

    OK, that’s no problem, I can easily create an alternative site structure for mobile menu, but that does kind of miss the point, from my point of view. The reason I was attracted to the template in the first places was to avoid having two different themes, albeit controlled from the same interface. Oh well, such is life.
