Styling Color Revisions

I just know there is something obvious I am missing but I cannot for the life of me figure it out. I am attempting to revise styling settings and I cannot seem to get the revisions to take effect. I was able to drop in a bg but the revised color codes are not taking effect.
I pasted the code, and hit save options but the revised button colors are not showing up. The default colors are still active.

I searched the support and there was one post for another theme where the user mentioned he selected yes for custom styles which is a toggle I could not find on my theme.
