Is it possible to cut off the write-ups on the staff members at a certain point so as to be continued on the full individual staff pages? Example…

Hi William,

Good question. The staff listings use WordPress’s excerpt function. If content is entered into the excerpt box when you’re editing a staff member it will be displayed on the listing page, otherwise the first 55 words of the main content will be displayed.

So to have a small portion displayed that’s different from the beginning of the post, you can enter it into the excerpt box.

If you’d like to add in a read more link you can. Here’s how to do that:

1. Go to the Appearance section in your WordPress dashboard and choose Edit.
2. From the list of files on your right, choose staff-entry.php
3. Replace all the content there with this:

   
   (Visit the support site to see the code).

4. Save your changes.

That should add in a read more link after the excerpt. If you have any trouble, let me know.
