    Hi Bill,

    I’ve upgraded my websites with an SSL Certificate. How do I go about adding the certificate to my website? Is there a widget you’d recommend?

    Good Morning Lori,

    Great question. Installing a SSL certificate is something that is done outside of WordPress on the web server itself. How that happens exactly depends on the web host. Some have a tool in their control panel that you can use to install it; others will handle it for you.

    There is an article at WP Beginner (http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-ssl-and-https-in-wordpress/) that can show you how to change your site so that all the pages use https instead of http. Since the actual address changes you’ll have to redirect your current pages to the new location. The article can show you how that works.
