    Bill –

I do not completely understand why WordPress makes so many versions of an image upload (i.e. the different sizes).

I am trying to use the Sponsors Widget to show organizations my client belongs to. You can see this at the bottom of essence.knowledgemeridian.com with the NHPCO logo. The site is cropping the logo so the left and right side are cut off. How do I allow it to use the image sized the way I uploaded it?

    Thank you –
    Lara

    Lara,

WordPress does make quite a few image sizes. The sponsor images work best when they are sized to be 400 pixels square.

If you have logo that’s more horizontal, you may want to add some space to the top and bottom so it’s square. Adobe’s free Photoshop Express can be a way to do that. You can upload an image there and make adjustments like that.

If I can help, let me know,
    Bill

Thanks, Bill. These logos are not well suited to being square so I modified the footer.php instead.

    Best,

That works fine too. Have a great weekend.
