    Good morning Bill!

I am in the process of creating a site and have created two sponsors. Their images show up on the sponsor page and on the sponsor widget on the home page, but if you click on the sponsor image from either of those places, you land on a 404 error page. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks so much!

    Good Morning Kristi,

Great question. About 95% of not found errors in WordPress are related to “permalnks” (the endings of the URL’s in the site). Here’s how to straighten those troubles out.

    1. Go to Settings in your WordPress dashboard and click on Permalinks.
    2. Scroll down to the bottom and click save. This will clear out the permalink cache.
    3. Check your site again on the front end and see if the missing pages now work.
    4. If they don’t, go back to permalinks and choose the default option and save your settings.
    5. Check your front end again to see if they are working now.

If that doesn’t do the trick, let me know and we’ll go from there.

    Thanks,
    Bill
