Hi there
I am creating a website for a new legal advice service in the UK for Deaf people using the Responsive Visual theme, and I’d like to have equal emphasis on British Sign Language (BSL) and English so that I can attract non-BSL users as well.
At the moment the video page has quite a large video and then the page text underneath. Is it possible to make that 50:50, so that you have the video and the text alongside each other?
Any help you can offer would be appreciated.
Rob
Hello Rob,
It’s sounds like you have a good project underway there. Great question too. Here’s what I would do to handle that. Instead of using the video format, I would use the default and then the full-width page template.
Then I would install a plugin like Columns that will let you create two separate columns on your page. You could place the video in the left one and your text in the right that way. There are other ways you could do that, but that might be the simplest approach to achieve what you’re describing.
If you run into any trouble or have any questions, just let me know.
Thanks,
Bill
