Slowing down the slide show

How do I slow down the transition speed and duration of slides in the slide show?

Shaun,

Thank you for your business first of all. You can change the timing of the slideshow by going to the the theme options page and selecting the “Home Page” tab.

On that tab, there are two fields that control the slideshow timing.

Slide Duration is the how long each slide is visible.

Animation Duration is how long it takes to change each slide.

All the times are in milliseconds so 7000 is 7 seconds.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

It didn’t give me the option to change any of the timing. The only field I have is number of slides.

It looks like you’re using version 1.0.3. We added those options in version 1.0.7, but you can still change it manually. Here’s what to do:

The file that you’ll need to edit is not available to the WordPress theme editor, so you’ll either need to edit it offline, or install a plugin such as WP Editor so you can access the file.

1. Using the editor of your choice, open up custom.js (it’s inside the js folder).
2. Look for this spot:

   
   	          slideshowSpeed: 5000,           
   	          animationDuration: 600,
   

3. Edit the timing (slidshowSpeed is time each slide is visible; animationDuration is the length of time it takes to transition a slide).
4. Save your changes.

That should let you change how quickly the slides change. If you have any questions, just let me know.

i have just bought the progress theme however i have fallen at the first hurdle. I am trying to activate it on my wordpress but it states i need to upload a zip file. where can i find this zip file?
