Slides not visible on front page
URL to the page in question:

I have setup my front page and created my slides, but nothing is visible. What have I done wrong?
Thanks,
Steve
Steve,
Thank you for your business first of all. Sorry for the trouble. Could you send a link to where you’re working with the theme so I can take a closer look for you?
Thanks,
Bill
It seems that under setting the posts option is linked the slides appearing. If I create a page and set it as the posts page the slides appear there. I cannot however make the posts page the home page.
Steve,
Progress was our last theme that had a built in home page. To use it, you would need to have your front page set to show your latest posts.
There is an updated version in our download section that swaps the built in home page from a home page template. You might download and install it. Then you create a page and use the Home template with that page. Then you assign it to be your front page in your reading settings.
There are more directions about that in the theme instructions too.
Let me know if I can help,
Bill
I’m having the same problem. The slide’s not visible and I keep trying.
Bill,
Here is the link: http://www.actsgroup.net/wordress.
When under settings I make the page with the slideshow the front page they disappear. I can get them back by making the home the post page and the post page the front page.
Thanks for the help.
Steve
Bill,
I uploaded the new version and that did the trick.
Thanks!
Steve
Steve, I’m glad that worked for you.
Evans, if you’ll send a link to your site, I’ll be glad to take a look for you.
Thanks,
Bill
Evans,
Thanks for sending over the link. It looks like you need to set up a home page for your site. There are instructions on how to do that at the top of the theme instructions at https://support.organizedthemes.com/4015/progress/
If you have any trouble, let me know,
Bill
Worked like a charm!!, thanks for taking the time out to help.
