When I upload an animated .giff, it looks grainy. Is there a way I can use an animated .giff (that will look good) or use a slider in the content area (not the background)?

    Andy,

Honestly I haven’t tried to resize an animated GIF via a web browser so I’m not certain if it’s possible for that to look good. Generally for the background images, I recommend a size of 1200 pixels wide by 800 pixels tall or so. You don’t want an image too much larger than that, but almost certainly you don’t want one any smaller either.

For a content area slideshow, two you might give a try are WP Cycle and Slideshow. WP Cycle takes the no frills, but easy to use approach. Slideshow has more customization options with it.

If you have any questions, let me know.

    Thank you for your business,
    Bill
