single widget width at bottom

I have almost everything configured as I want it to look. However, my recent posts widget just shows up very narrow on the bottom left. I wish for it to span the entire bottom of the page, if possible. Maybe this is specific to the widget (I don’t see those options), or maybe I can put it in a different widgeted area on the theme…

There is a “Home Page Posts” widget that’s part of the theme that’s wider than the standard widgets are. You might experiment with that and see if it will fit your needs.

It is possible to make other widget span the entire width, let me know if you’d rather go that way and I’ll post directions for you.

I need to do the other (more difficult way). The home page posts requires you to select a category and I want all of them displayed.
