Side by Side widgets Home Bottom

I would like to have two widgets side by side not stacked on my home bottom of the home page. I would like to add a featured store item next to events.

Thank you for your business first of all. You can have two widgets sitting side by side. In the Progress theme, there are two “Featured Page” widgets on the home page. Those widgets display the featured image of those pages along with a portion of the content and the page title too. You can add those widgets also in the Foundation theme. They’ll pull the featured image of the pages you choose in the widget.

If you don’t want to link the image to a page, you could also use the Simple Image Widget plugin which adds a widget that lets you just add an image.
