Last one 😉
Can I integrate a shopping cart to this template? It’ll be just for ordering not paying on line. I thought about TheCartPress.
December 19, 2011 at 10:55 #4411Bill RobbinsModeratorI’m a big fan of the Jigoshop plugin. The theme actually has some support for it built in. You are welcome to use another plugin if you’d rather. Since Foxy has a bit of an unusual layout, you may need to make a change or two in order for it to take the theme’s layout.
If you run into any trouble, let me know.

I still need to go deeper into Jigoshop to customize it according to our needs. First thing that I need to fix is the content boxes width and alignment. They are wider than the ones in the Foxy theme and are positioned further right. I tried several settings on the Jigoshop setup with no luck.
Would you please guide me in this issue?

December 20, 2011 at 09:21 #4432Bill RobbinsModeratorThere are two I changed in the settings of Jigoshop
- The catalog width image size I increased from 150px to 300px
- I also under “General” I set it to disable Jigoshop front end CSS.
Try those and see if it doesn’t help.
January 31, 2012 at 22:26 #4948TerenceParticipantBill, looks like train wreck to me at the moment… http://www.catteryinthecountry.co.uk/pampurred-cat-boutique.html — A bit more to go on than “try those and see if it doesn’t help” would help. Is there any documentation of guidance to making Jigoshop work with Foxy?

I don’t have a online demo of it set up yet because I haven’t had a chance to create a set of images for the shop. That said, here’s a link to what the working demo looks like on my local computer:
The images for the catalog are set to be 300 pixels wide by 150 pixels tall. Since the default image is being displayed for the product that could be part of the problem. WordPress won’t resize images dynamically when you change one of these sizes. It will only affect images uploaded after that. Normally you could run a plugin called “Regenerate Thumbnails,” but I don’t think it would affect the default image since it’s part of the plugin and not uploaded through the media section.
Try adding a couple of products with images and see how that works out. Here’s what the product details page looks like:
The only two settings I changed were to turn off the Jigoshop CSS and to change the catalog image width to 300 from 150.
Let me know if that gives you any trouble.

I just created a new product item and this time simply included a picture with the text and I don’t see where its getting this “default image” from… http://awesomescreenshot.com/0adtc9q99
When I go to what I have designated as the catalog page I can see some sort of defualt catalog, but it doesn’t include the items I have just created… http://awesomescreenshot.com/03ftc9x76
And if I use the preview option for the item and then click on its category item, this is what happens… http://awesomescreenshot.com/08btccn41
Any ideas?
P.S. I am wondering if its worth persevering with Jigoshop or maybe if I loaded a Jigoshop theme on a sub-domain even if maybe WP-Ecommerce might be better.
February 1, 2012 at 20:43 #4968Bill RobbinsModeratorIf you have more experience with another plugin you can certainly give it a shot.
For adding groups of items to the navigation, I’ve previously created a custom link using /product-category/category-slug as the URL.
For the image, I just used the featured image on that item. If that’s not adding the image, I’m not sure where else to add one.
