    Hey Bill,

Thanks so much for the beautiful Elite Theme. I love it.
However, I am experiencing some trouble when it comes to show the galleries”company” and EchoRing on smaller screen devices.

Is there an option to resize the image slides, such that they fit smaller screen.

Also, is there a way to start with a different slide (e.g. Linking a sub-menu item below COMPANY to the TEAM slide?

    Best
    Mathias

    Good Morning Mathias,

Thank you for your business. I really do appreciate it. Great questions too. You can set different images for your slides to use on mobile devices with smaller screens.

First edit a slide where you’d like to have a different image. Look down at the bottom of the “Hero Area Options” box and you’ll see an uploader for a mobile background image. This is where you can add in a different image for smaller screens. Once you’ve done that, update your slide and you should have a different slide image if the screen is smaller than 768 pixels wide.

The best way to set the order of the slides is using a plugin called Simple Page Ordering (https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-page-ordering/). It lets you set the order of your slides by drag and drop.

Since the images fill the hero area completely, there will always be some cropping of the images used there. The amount of cropping depends on how different the aspect ratio of the browser window is from the image. The more similar they are, the less cropping. The more different they are, the more cropping you’ll find.

Because of that you’ll want to keep any parts of the image that are vitally important away from the edges. That will give the most “buffer” area and help ensure that they are not cropped. You’ll probably also want to place any text in the hero title or caption as opposed to the image itself. That will ensure that the text isn’t cropped out.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Bill
