I seem to have trouble resizing pictures to fit into slides onto the opening page. I believe it’s supposed to be 600 X 400 but even if I scale the image down to 500 X 300 it still does not fit correctly or looks like I even changed the picture. Any help would be much appreciated as it is a continuing problem with, I am sure, an easy fix that I am not seeing. Thanks.

    Hello Kirk,

I do appreciate you posting your question here. The size of the slides when there isn’t a sidebar is 960 pixels wide by 540 pixels tall. If you’ll size them that size, you shouldn’t run into any cropping trouble.

If you end up switching to the layout that has a sidebar next to the slides, the sizes becomes 608 pixels wide by 403 pixels tall.

Let me know if you have any questions,
    Bill

There are a few things at play behind the scenes here. The smaller image gets stretched by the browser to fill the space. That makes it appear large, even though it’s really a small image that’s artificially enlarged.

As long as you stick with the prescribed size, you’ll be fine.
