Redirect Post

Hi,
first of all, nice job with your theme!

I’m writing you because I can’t use the “Redirect Post” function: in a post, even if I set an url to redirect in the “Redirect Post” field, it won’t do it and the image would only link to the post.

Is there a way to fix this issue?

Hello Marco,

Thank you for your business first of all. Sorry for the trouble there. It appears that WordPress’s recent update has affected the redirect option. Here’s a way around that until I’m able to find the source of the trouble.

Install and activate the WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin. It’s good plugin for creating titles and descriptions for search engines. It also has a redirect feature.

Once you have the plugin installed, you’ll see a new box below the main content area labeled WordPress SEO by Yoast. Click on the Advanced tab there and enter your redirect URL into the 301 Redirect Box (see attached screenshot).

Once you update the post that will redirect it for you. The next update to the theme will add an option to create these boxes in the theme options page. You’ll be able to upload an image, set the text and URL to link it to there.
