    Hi!

I use the Epic theme and I am very satisfied with it.

But I have a problem here, just as I had when I used the authentic theme.
The download link in podcast doesn’t work properly. When I klick on it it starts to download, but I don’t get the actual file. It downloads this file: http—livets-vann.no-wp-content-uploads-2013-03-Kjell_Holtet_10-03-2013.mp3
It is just like an empty code.

I use mac, but have also tried with ordinary PC and it is the same.
I didn’t get this to work last time. (even though I got some help) I just removed the option, but it would be nice to get this function here.

Do You know a solution to this?

    thanks 🙂

Great question. Since we last interacted about this trouble, I did discover that it’s a server based problem. Evidently there is something within the server configuration that’s preventing that script from running.

But, I do have a new script that may work better for you. I’m testing it out at the moment to replace the current one. To give it a try, go to the Appearance section and select Edit. From the list of files on your right, choose download.php. Replace all the code with this:

    Save your changes.

See if that doesn’t work a bit better for you. If you run into any trouble, let me know.

    Enjoy your weekend,
    Bil

    Hi!

Now I only got a file called: mp3.mp3

So it didn’t work, but is there more codes I should change?

Sounds like your server doesn’t have library that’s necessary for that work installed on it. You’ll probably want to change the download link so it doesn’t point to the mp3.php file and change the text to direct your users to right-click to download.

Thats a good idea. Can I delete the download.php script and only direct to the url?
Or can I put a direction to the url inside the download.php

Do I need to change the code in archive-podcast.php and in the single-podcast.php?

This code was used in “authentic church” theme: the_value(‘podcast1’); ?>”>listen

    I need some coding – help 🙂

I would just change the link from where it has this:

    to this:

You’d need to change it in

    • taxonomy-speaker.php
    • taxonomy-series.php
    • archive-podcast.php

    Thank You. It worked!
