Move Social Icons to Top Right Corner

Hi Bill,

I would like to move the Social Icons currently in the footer, to sit in the top right corner of my header? I would also like to know how to adjust the colour (and rollover) colour of these icons please.

Also, how do I make the search box in my footer align right please?

Hi Bill,

As discussed in my recent pre-purchase email, I would like to allocate the main navigiation menu for my new Elite site to the “Logo” that sits top left…. and have the menus drop down (and then out/across) from the logo.

You mentioned that a child theme would be the way to do this and kindly offered to “whip up a quick child theme that makes that change.”

I have installed the child theme plugin on my site, but have no clue what to do next…!!

Also wondering, if (and how) I will be able to assign a “rollover” image to the new logo menu please?

Just wanted to let you know that I’ve worked the social icons out using some code you gave me for Moonrise a few months ago.

Would still love to know how to Right align the search box in my footer though please.

Good Morning Leanne,

I went on and merged these topics before I realized you had already moved around the social icons. You were busy while it was overnight here in Alabama 😉

An easy trick to move over the search widget is to add a blank text widget between the social icons and the search widget. That will give something in the middle column there and push over the search for you.

For the logo menu, could I get you to email me the image files you’d like to use there? You can send them to support@organizedthemes.com and I’ll email you back the child theme to use to add that in.

Thanks for your response… the blank text widget is a good trick! Much appreciated 🙂

1) I’m still working on design decisions regarding the Logo Menu Button Art + Rollover that will replace the “Elite” logo to become the gateway to my main navigation menu. Is it OK if I send you a temporary button and rollover image…? And if so, will I be able to replace the button image and it’s rollover file, later on as I pull the final design together?

2) I’m also wondering if it’s possible to turn off the “mobile navigation menu” that the social icons (top right) revert to when I access on my iphone? Ideally, I would like to keep the social icons visible… which is part of the reason I’m wanting to convert the “Elite Logo” to main menu button… was hoping that by only having these few items in the top header that the appearance would be preserved when viewed on mobile devices.

3) Also, how do I add a solid block of colour underneath the top menu so that text will always be legible no matter what feature photo is used please?

4) And… how do I change the Hero Button appearance to look like the button here please: http://www.organizedthemes.com/business-themes/
i.e. white border, clear background, white text

Since I’m cooking up a child theme for you, if you don’t mind this time around, I’ll just make the changes for you instead of showing you how to do that. That will be quicker for me.

You can change out the graphics later on. It’ll just require you uploading the new files to the child theme’s folder via FTP or your web host’s control panel.

Just email them on over when you get a chance.
