Is it possible to have an option on side bars
for example, i want upcoming events on the parent page but social media on the leaders pages
There are a few different plugins you can use for this. Some will create new sidebars to replace existing ones. Others let you specify where a widget will be visible that’s in a sidebar. Both ways work. Here are two plugins you can look at:
