This is a new website, just being constructed.

I log in as the WordPress admin.

The update page says, referring to Moonirse: You have version 1.3.5 installed. Update to 1.3.6.

So I do. It seems to work with the following messages:

    Updating Theme Moonrise (1/1)
    Moonrise updated successfully. Show Details
    Disabling Maintenance mode…
    All updates have been completed.

The number of updates correctly changes to 0.

But then when I move on to any other admin web page, the number of updates reverts to 1. And it says I need to update Moonrise again.

    Hey Daniel,

Sorry for the trouble there. It looks like in the last update that was released, I did not change the version number in the top of the style.css file in the theme. Here’s what to do:

    1. Go to the Appearance section in your WordPress dashboard and click on Edit.
    2. From the list of files on your right, choose style.css
    3. Locate this line near the top:

      Version: 1.3.5

      and change it to 1.3.6

    4. Save your changes.

That should let WordPress know that the site is running the correct version number, but it won’t keep you from getting the next theme update when it is released. If you run into trouble, let me know.

    Bill
