Message series page – Display more than 6

Love the theme! I’m starting to work on a new site for our church.

I’d like to be able to have message series archived by year, so I would need more than 6 series listed on a page as it is now. Is there a way to add more rows of graphics so we can have 10-12 series listed on a page?

Hello Jonathan,

I’m glad to hear that you’re enjoying the theme so far. Great question too. The series page template is set to show all of the series that have episodes published in them. You should be able to display as many series there as you’d like to. If you have any trouble adding more than that, just let me know.

That worked. I had added series but not published any messages to it. So now more are being added. Thanks!

Is there an easy way to reorder the series?

Glad that worked. The WordPress core does not have a way to reorder the series built-in, but I believe you can set the order with a plugin called Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order. It says it will let you drag and drop your taxonomies (our message series are taxonomies) to rearrange them. I gave this a try back over the summer and it seemed to work well.
