Menu Location
URL to the page in question:

Hi Bill;
In a classic case of the customer not clearly defining their requirements and even though I had theme approval my client is not happy with their final product. They like a lot of the site but upon landing they want to accentuate the slide show more. I don’t know if I can modify this theme or have to go another route but I figured I’d run it by you. If I can achieve 2 main goals I think we can stay with this template and salvage a lot of work.
1- Can I change the location of the main menu from left side to the top as drop downs with smaller font.
2- Can the homepage not point to a post or page but just be the background slideshow with just the logo and menu on top and maybe a footer.
Thanks again for all your help
Stuart
Hi Stuart,
I think most of us have been in that situation before. You can move the navigation menu to the header bar. There is a post at https://support.organizedthemes.com/forums/topic/add-a-menu-to-the-top-bar/ that can show you how to go about that.
You can also have a page without the content area displaying. Edit the page you’re using and choose the blank page template. You can use it on the front page too.
Let me know how that goes,
Bill

If I had made the edits to the functions.php file correctly wouldn’t I see a “Header Navigation” selection on the Menus>Manage Locations page?
Stuart
Yes, if all is well you should be able to find that there.
Then I screwed something up
Let’s do this. Copy all the contents of your functions.php file and post them at http://gist.github.com. Once you’ve made a Gist there, post a link to it here so I can see if I spot anything.
Ok, I think I got it. Just need to style the menu. Thanks
Ok one last dumb question. Where should I be putting the Menu style code?
There is a box for custom CSS in the styling tab of the theme options page. You can place it there.
