Issue with Video playing on front page

Slider not playing video:
When I load a video into the video field, say youtube, I see, for example:
When I save at foot of page the code changes and I get to see:
[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFAWrZnKdAc&w=960&h=540%5DWhen I go to live view of page I get to see the code where the vidoe should be in the browser window – the carousel has collapsed.
Any thoughts or help would be gratefully received.

Great question. To place a video in your slideshow, make sure you use the embed code that YouTube provides as opposed to just the URL to the video. Inside a WordPress page or post it’s possible to place the URL to the video on its own line and the video will be displayed. But for the front page video area, you’ll need to use the actual embed code.
To get the embed code, visit the video on YouTube you’d like to use and click “share.” That will slide down some sharing options. You’ll find an embed button there. If you click it, YouTube will give you the code to use.
