    Hi there –

There are a couple of pages on our site where we’d like to have the information presented, e.g. lists of beers or tequilas, in several columns across the page rather than just one long list. Can we do this selectively by page? And if so – how? I’ve been digging and still am stuck.

    Many thanks!

    Hi Susan,

The best way to add columns is with a plugin that’s made for those. There are quite a few out there. Many people like Column Shortcodes (https://wordpress.org/plugins/column-shortcodes/) for that.

Let me know if you need any help,
    Bill

    Good Morning Susan,

I do see on the page where you’ve added the columns at the bottom. To have any menu group lists appear in the columns, you’ll want to place the shortcode for that menu group inside the column shortcode for where you’d like it to appear.

It might look something like this:

    [one_third]
    [menu group="burgers"]
    [/one_third]

    See how that works,
    Bill

There’s not much that I can tell from the front end of things. Do this. Edit your page. Click on the text tab that’s in the top right hand corner of the main content box and copy all the content there. Then paste it at http://gist.github.com and then paste a link to that Gist here. That way I can see what’s in the editor.
