    Hi Bill,

I have a question about using a video on the home page. I have loaded one, and see that I have to also load a featured image as well, since the video option won’t play on a mobile format. Is there any way to have the transition (from featured image to video) load faster? I love the video feature, but seeing the featured image first, and then the video is kinda distracting.

Also when the page initially loads, I see the black drop down menu for a noticeable time.

Thanks for your time to these questions!

    Hello Greg,

Excellent question. The video will display as soon as the browser feels it has enough dowloaded to display it without having to then wait for buffering. You can optimize the video a bit to keep the file size as small as is reasonable.

What I would suggest doing is getting an image of the first frame in the video and use that as the featured image. That’ll allow for a much smoother transition between the image and the video.

    Have a great week,
    Bill
